Meet Lindsay Walker

Hey there! It’s so nice to have you here; I’m Lindsay. Let me share a little about myself and Myofascial Release.

I discovered the effects of hands-on healing at a young age while practicing on friends and family. In college, my friends would rush to sit at my feet when I lounged on the couch. While studying nursing, my love for anatomy led me to realize that a career in massage therapy aligned better with my interests and abilities. I graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2004 and successfully helped numerous dedicated clients achieve and maintain their best level of wellness.

I am a competitor and athlete at heart, enjoying activities like softball, volleyball, running, hiking, swimming, biking, and yoga, and in the midst of my active lifestyle, I began to experience headaches and back pain. Despite trying various alternative remedies, progress was often a mix of steps forward and back. In the spring of 2016, during my fourth pregnancy, something shifted, and I started suffering from debilitating cluster headaches and migraines several days a week.

Seeking relief, I was introduced to Myofascial Release by a new massage therapist. Over numerous treatments, my headaches became less frequent, and the tightness and pain in my body began to dissolve. Regular activities slowly returned, and I discovered a newfound peace in my body and mind that I had never known before. Regular Myofascial Release treatments became essential, allowing me to feel better than I had in decades, even at a stage in my life where that seemed improbable.

This experience planted a seed, sparking my curiosity to learn more about Myofascial Release for the benefit of my clients. After years of research and personal preparation, I attended several courses taught by John F. Barnes about his Myofascial Release Method.

Diving deep into this realm of advanced healing, more authentic and enduring than any bodywork treatment I have encountered, has been one of my greatest joys in life. Discovering a passion so profoundly rewarding on multiple levels is a rare and unique privilege. I continue to be a dedicated student in this work, attending and repeating courses, all while striving for excellence.
